SISTER Act meets every Tuesday. Sixth grade sisters meet with our school nurse or a guest speaker.
Students apply for membership before sixth grade. They are required to meet with their mentor and their sisters once a month for a breakfast. The sisters stay together during 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
The purpose of SISTER Act is to allow students to participate in activities that promote positive self-esteem as well as form new friendships with fellow sisters and mentors.
Students participate in activities before and after school. Participation in service projects are required. Jump Rope for Heart is a major project for the club. Students visit different colleges on field trips. A banquet is held each year to honor the SISTER Act members.
