Beat the Summer Heat!!!

 

Join the Warren County Middle School ‘08 summer readingprogram.

We will begin Monday, June 2 nd and be open every Monday night thru July 21 st . .  The time will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the WCMS Library.  

         Drop by and check-out some books, then come back and take the AR test to see which prize or prizes you may win.   AR test and points earned can only be received from books checked out from the Warren County Middle School library.   Points earned this summer can count for partial credit (up to 50 %) for the 1 st six weeks this fall or may be banked to use at teacher and student discretion.    This may enable our students that are engaged in lots of extra- curricular activities to use their summer points when they need them most- like at peek times during the football or basketball seasons.

         We started a Reading Club that rewards students who go above and beyond their reading goals.   We had an ice cream sundae party for the students, who had earned 100 or more points by a certain date, then we had a hamburger cookout for the 200 point party and the students who earned 300 points by April 15 th are going to a Nashville Sounds Baseball game on April 30 th.   It really does pay to read!!!!  

         To enter the building, come by the football field around to the commons area in front of the gym / Related Arts building.     Enter through the red door on the left that will lead you straight upstairs to the library.  

We encourage everyone to come out and read books for fun as well as earn points.   Parents are encouraged to read and take test also.
